Welcome to Rainbow Light Meditation!

"The Amazon shamans believe that when you clear all your chakras you acquire a 'rainbow body'. Each center vibrates at its natural frequency, and you radiate the seven colors of the rainbow."

-Excerpt from Shaman, Healer, Sage by Alberto Villoldo

Based out of Rochester NY, Rainbow Light Meditation is the name of a monthly evening of meditation and sharing during which an open network of ever-changing, ever-expanding individuals meets to promote the seeds of peace by celebrating this simple act of stillness in a variety of practices and styles.

           Although originally organized and led by a "core" group of six members, these days Rainbow meditation evenings are often facilitated by the attendees themselves. After several years of seeing that there can be "no mistakes" when we connect in harmony and with clear intention, people are allowing themselves to grow into this role with assistance and encouragement from the rest of the circle.

About the name...

            The rainbow was chosen because of its place in indigenous teachings as the harbinger of the times to come and as a symbol of harmony. In many prophecies it was told that the Rainbow People would re-emerge as healers, teachers and stewards of the Ascended Earth. In Sanskrit teaching it is said that a "rainbow bridge" of color and sound is what connects the Individual with Spirit; the Soul with Source.

            Right from the beginning the focus of Rainbow Meditation was on the healing and balancing influence of color, light and sound. With this latest revision to our website we are restructuring the name to make it more representative of that initial purpose.

Another year of opportunity and change...

The greater involvement by Rainbow participants is helping us to create additional offerings, just a few of which have included:

• Melting the Ice Intensives with Inuk Elder, Angaangaq ("Uncle")

• Earth healing gatherings

• Spiritual pilgrimage to Sedona and the Yucatan

• Sound workshops by Triz Remedios

• Long held dream of a Sanctuary / Retreat Center is now becoming reality

            Further spiritual excursions and events are being planned, primary among them the Crystal Skull workshops with Triz's crystal formations and Peruvian Whistling Vessels. All this as work on the Sanctuary continues to go forward, with the vision now being held and acted upon by a core of 4 and committees of 8 additional volunteers.
See the Events page for updates and details.

Thanks for helping!

Thanks again for all that each of you does to help move us further into the expanded vision of the one-heart … the new paradigm in which our individual spiritual essence unites harmoniously with its source, in service and for the greatest good of all.

"In many indigenous cultures, Star beings are called "Rainbow People", the rainbow race of colors living in peace and harmony on earth. When a Qero high priest from Peru was asked...he explained that the Star Beings/Rainbow People are all of us. We are entering an age of meeting ourselves again, called the Taripaypacha. Our star essence is an elaborate light-coding system in DNA. Our DNA is light, color, and sound. We are re-connecting to our star selves and entering self-empowerment. This allows us to connect our light body with the advanced beings who can guide us to understand more of the higher dimensions of true being and divine light."

What is the Rainbow Vision?

Besides the desire to bring like-minded individuals together in love, harmony and peaceful interaction, and to share each others' presence as one another's teachers, other aspects of the Rainbow vision are:

• to serve the Earth and all of its beings in a spirit of oneness, light and harmony;

• to "seed" peace, healing and compassion to where it is directed by the Source or Higher Power;

• to practice love, non-judgmentally, with a respect for healthy diversity and uniqueness;

• to encourage harmony and heart-centered connection, at all levels and with all living beings.
